It's been a busy week, so not much time for writing I'm afraid.
However, we've had some good news - our offer was accepted on a house yesterday - woo! Hopefully this one will turn out better than our last offer.
This house is quite a bit smaller but is all done and ready to go. I think after the disastrous survey on the previous house, we're both quite happy to not have too big a project and just move from our temporary rental into our home - all we'll have to do is buy some curtains and a few pieces of furniture. That is, if the survey for this one comes back alright...
So, back to square one with the mortgage as well, due to these new rules coming into force last month. We'll probably have to keep receipts for haircuts and every bar of chocolate we buy, in my case, this might be a lot - oops!
Ah well, the joys of buying a house ay! At least we seem to be getting somewhere with this one - we might even be lucky enough to enjoy the new garden this summer, I hope anyway!
